Vaso asked me how I heard of ‘The Gate,’ because she’s pretty sure she’s never heard of it before
(I mean, when does she ever research anything, but I didn’t want to say that and get smacked...)
...So I’ve just been actively avoiding the questions! It seems to be working, for now.
I mean, c’mon guys. If I turned around and went ‘Oh, well, this disembodied voice talked to me about it the other day when you threw that nest of Thunderbirds at me (which you never apologized for, by the way) and then Yiayia told me to forget it and...blah blah blah,’ I would probably end up getting a sort of response that entails Vaso cancelling this trip and dragging my butt back down the hill and home.
But, seriously, I’m not technically lying to her at the moment, just skirting around the truth. Well, ok, I told her I found something on Reddit and it seemed accurate enough and wanted to find it. She seems to sort of buy it.
I can’t afford to turn back now, guys, not when I’m so close to reconnecting with Vaso, and just imagine about when I get my old strength back! We’ll be unstoppable again!
Besides, what’s one little lie that’s not even a lie?
